Shepherd’s Flock

Shepherd’s Flock, a licensed intergenerational child care center, offers your child a total program for the mind, body, and spirit. Shepherd’s Flock has served children and their families year-round on the campus of the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights since 1997.

We are a Christian child care center serving children aged 6 weeks to kindergarten, and are open 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Intergenerational Program

Shepherd’s Flock offers a unique opportunity for children and adults to interact in a variety of activities. These activities could include on-site offerings, community events, and off-campus outings. There are many mutual benefits to these interactions.

Classrooms

• Angels – 6 weeks to 9 months
• Stars – 9 months to 18 months
• Lambs – 18 months to 2½ years
• Rainbow – 2½ years to 3½ years
• Sonshine – 3½ years to 5 years

Curriculum

Shepherd’s Flock encourages children to develop at their own individual pace. Our unique Christian program promotes a positive self-image in children. Specially created lesson plans incorporate spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical development.

Our Environment

Indoor and outdoor play areas encourage children to learn through play and interaction. Shepherd’s Flock has easy access to many services and amenities that are provided by the Lutheran Home.
