Luther Oaks residents serving their community
February 26th, 2012
It takes more than one person to make a community. That is why every quarter, Luther Oaks residents and employees volunteer at the Midwest Food Bank in Bloomington, IL. It is part of their commitment to building, and actively engaging in, a faithful, stronger community.
The volunteer project was inspired by residents who selected the Food Bank as their charity of choice. On February 24, more than five palettes of food were marked and packed for delivery to those in need.
The project was so successful and impactful, volunteers returned on April 8 to help once again.
Residents and employees are more than advocates; they are also doers.
