Family Council is proving to be a community-builder
March 7th, 2011
Since coming to Wittenberg Village, Nicole Langley, Director of Social Services, has contributed greatly to our Lutheran Life Community. Most recently, she has begun a Family Council. The first topic the council discussed revolved around skin issues. Since the skin is the largest organ of the body, Nicole felt it was important to discuss the many issues facing skin in the health field today. Family members were invited to come and enjoy some refreshments and listen, learn, and engage one another in conversation. After having its maiden meeting, Family Council is on its way to many more fruitful topics and growing in fellowship. These meetings are a great venue for families to be more involved in their loved one’s wellness and care, and to come away with some more knowledge about the issues we all face on a daily basis in regard to our health.
