Where Your Gift Is Needed

Lutheran Life Communities relies on charitable gifts to carry out our mission of empowering vibrant, grace-filled living across all generations. Gifts of any size truly make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Gifts may be designated in memory or honor of an individual or group. Gifts of $100 or more will be recognized in the Foundation’s annual report.

Your support is needed in five areas:

One: Mission Advancement Funds support the overall mission and programs of Lutheran Life Communities and its campuses. You may designate your gift to any of the following Mission Advancement Funds:

• Lutheran Home Fund (Arlington Heights, Ill.)
• St. Pauls House Fund (Chicago, Ill.)
• Wittenberg Village Fund (Crown Point, Ind.)
• Pleasant View Fund (Ottawa, Ill.)
• Luther Oaks Fund (Bloomington, Ill.)

Two: The Benevolent Care Fund supports the ongoing care of residents who have outlived their financial resources. Since 1892, no resident of a Lutheran Life Community has been asked to relocate for financial reasons. The annual cost of providing benevolent care across Lutheran Life Communities is $6 million.

Three: CareGiving Funds help support the caregivers and programs related to our main mission areas across Lutheran Life Communities:

• Residential Living Fund
• Nursing and Therapies Fund
• Memory Support Fund
• Community Services Fund
• Child Care Fund

Four: The Spiritual Life Fund supports a broad range of pastoral and ministry programs as part of our commitment to provide care based on Christian principles.

Five: The Capital Projects Fund supports the enhancement and maintenance of the physical plant, equipment or furnishings where most needed across Lutheran Life Communities. Gifts in this area are most helpful if they are made in general support of our existing, carefully made annual capital plans and not restricted to the purchase of a specific item.
