To accommodate individuals recovering from an acute illness or injury, Wittenberg Village Manor offers specialized rehabilitation services in our Medicare-approved nursing area. Healthcare staff combined with licensed therapists in physical, occupational and speech pathology tailor each plan of care to the resident’s specific needs with a goal of attaining the highest possible level of function. Private or semi-private rooms and the latest medical equipment enhance the rehabilitation experience for all served.
Through the “Community Integration Program” many residents, under the supervision of their therapists, are given opportunities to re-familiarize themselves with the surrounding community and regain confidence through normal, day-to-day activities. This includes outings to local establishments where residents are exposed to unexpected situations, challenges and people. Among the most common disabilities treated are orthopedic problems, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, degenerative diseases, decreased mobility, speech and hearing impairments, and chronic pain.
