A place to experience life anew!
Life can be experienced anew every spring in the beautiful Memorial Butterfly Garden at Pleasant View. After enjoying the wonderful winter landscape, there is a time of dormancy. The creamy-white snow scenes melt away leaving a blandly colored ground. The trees that held bright patches of white in their branches now seem to be reaching their “stick-arms” to the sky in anticipation of receiving something. In fact, all of nature seems to be holding its breath.
Then, the transformation begins. Beautiful shades of green appear along the pathways and in the trees, and one by one, nature’s spectacular color pallet pops up on a variety of flowers and plants. Once again, nature’s life begins anew, and we at Pleasant View can watch it take place from the shelter of the lovely gazebo that is located right next to the garden.
We can also take a closer look at nature by strolling through the center of the garden on the brick pathway that holds the names of those we honor and remember. One person remarked how her spirits were lifted as she watched the colorful butterflies flitting around her mother’s memorial brick. The visitor thought of the way a caterpillar goes into a cocoon and appears to be gone from life. Then it miraculously emerges as a butterfly full of life and beauty. “What greater evidence is there to prove that God is in is heaven and all is right with the world!” she remarked.
Come and find out for yourself. Visit the Memorial Butterfly Garden at Pleasant View and experience life anew!
