At Lutheran Home, WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS! We know your time is a precious commodity. When you choose to give your gifts of time and talent to our residents, we promise you will be rewarded with our thanks and the sincere appreciation of those you serve.
Volunteers of Lutheran Home are considered part of the team. You will receive a tour and orientation of Lutheran Home as well as any educational training you may require prior to beginning your volunteer experience. We value the life experiences you bring to us and will work with you to find an activity or assignment that allows you to leave feeling fulfilled and with a sense of accomplishment. We respect your “other responsibilities” and vow to never take your dedication for granted.
We hope you will consider volunteering at Lutheran Home & Services. Of the many commitments you can make, none is more gratifying than knowing you have given some of your time to help another.
Here is a sample of the many volunteer experiences that await you at Lutheran Home:
- time visiting residents
- Act as a greeter or receptionist
- Help residents with crafts and activities
- Work in the General Store
- Assist staff in transporting residents to organized activities
- Provide weekly respite to a caregiver through Community Companion Volunteers
- Help in our Intergenerational Child Day Care Center
