Cherished Place is a unique adult day services club which focuses on the individuality and dignity of each member. This program is specially designed for seniors with minor medical needs and persons in all stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s

The Lutheran Home’s Adult Day Care Center represents many things to our family:
Our mother has been attending the day care for almost 4 years, and it has given her much enjoyment and peace of mind for my sister and me. At first she didn’t want to attend, but after breaking her hip in 2004, my sister and I had to make a decision about who would help her during the day as we both work. After much investigation and speaking with Vicki, the Director, we decided that Cherished Place at the Lutheran Home seemed like the best fit for our Mom. At first she didn’t want to attend, but the staff continued to make her feel special and now she’s upset when she misses too many days. Stephanie, the Recreation Activity Specialist, is just wonderful with the older people. She tries to bring out the best in all the residents with various projects and outings during the year. Our Mom has started to crochet again because of Stephanie helping her to gain her skills back again - after almost 15 years of not crocheting. Vicki and her staff make it fun to attend the program. They treat all the residents with dignity and respect. They’re like a part of our extended family and we can’t say enough good things about them. It gives us a feeling of security knowing that our Mom is in a safe and happy environment while we’re at work. It also gives her life purpose and enjoyment while she interacts with many wonderful residents and staff on a daily basis. Cherished Place Adult Day Services… Rocks!!
